Hello Everyone! 😉 I have a lovely Simple Doily crochet pattern for you today. It’s suitable for beginners who are familiar with the basic stitches. All you need to start is a crochet hook and some yarn or thread in the color of your choice. Feel free to scroll down for a free written pattern and video tutorial. Hope you enjoy! Skill Level: Easy to Intermediate. Materials Used: Sport weight mercerized cotton yarn, size 2 – fine. I used Madame Tricote Paris Camilla yarn in the colorway 5326 (grey). 22 grams of yarn needed for this pattern. 3mm crochet hook. Scissors. Yarn needle or Latch hook for weaving in ends. Or, you can use a crochet hook. Abbreviations (US terms): st. – stitch ch – chain sl st. – slip stitch sc – single crochet hdc – half double crochet dc – double crochet trc – treble crochet dc2(3)tog – 2 or 3 double crochet closed together Instructions: Start with ch5, join with a sl st. into first ch to form a ring. Round 1: ch3 (counts as a dc), 15dc into the ring. Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3. Round 2: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch1, (1dc into next st., ch1)* repeat 15 times around. Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3. Round 3: sl st. into next ch1 space, ch3 (counts as a dc), 2dc into that same ch1 space, (3dc into next ch1 space)* repeat 15 times around. Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3. Round 4: ch3 (counts as a dc), ch2, (skip 1 st., 1dc into next st., ch2)* repeat 23 times around. Join with a sl st. on top of the ch3.
