The trumpet skirt refers to an almost straight cut and figure hugging skirt with a hem flounce that softly bounces away from your body.
My guess is that to make the skirt to pattern dimensions, i would have used 6 balls.
It hugs the hips and thighs, flows around the knees, and exposes a pretty ankle.
From knitting lingerie style: there is no sexier skirt silhouette than the trumpet shape.
